The story of Kaiden Jericho – a former gangster thrown into a dark, high-tech world full of intrigue and danger – instantly drew me in. What impressed me most was the complexity of Kaiden’s character – torn between his dark past and the desire to lead a better life. The secret operations and experimental implants created a consistently tense atmosphere. I could practically feel the pressure mounting on Kaiden as he was forced to choose between loyalty and the fight for his own humanity. The action scenes are gripping, and the dystopian world is described so vividly that I felt like I was right there in the middle of it all. The voice performance was outstanding and perfectly conveyed the characters’ emotions. All in all, a thrilling, captivating audiobook that didn’t let me go until the very last minute.
